LIS-Process
The laser-induced slip casting process consists of distinctive process characteristics and steps.
Compared to the LSD process, this is a laser-assisted 3D printing process.
- All ceramic materials can be processed regardless of their chemical composition and particle size
- The ceramic materials are prepared into a water-based suspension
- This suspension (layer thickness between 250 to 500 µm) is applied in layers
- The suspension is selectively dried by means of laser radiation, thus generating a three-dimensional component (green body)
- Component is removed from the suspension and then dried
- The component can be reworked or sintered directly in this condition without any problems
